Logo Size for Website: What Every Real Estate Agent and Builder Needs to Know
By Will Rapuano | Velocity Builders|

Your logo is the first thing people see when they land on your website. If it's blurry, stretched, or the wrong size, you've already made an impression — just not the one you wanted.
Logo size for website matters more than most real estate agents and builders realize. Get it wrong and you get a pixelated mess on retina screens, a header that looks broken on mobile, and a brand that signals "amateur" before a potential client reads a single word of your copy.
Get it right and your site looks polished, professional, and ready to convert.
Here's the complete spec guide — no jargon, no guesswork.
The Standard Logo Sizes for a Website (By Display Type)
There's no single universal logo size. The right dimensions depend on where your logo appears and what devices it needs to look sharp on. That said, these are the working standards that hold across most real estate websites and builder sites in 2026.
Header logo (desktop):
Width: 200–400px
Height: 60–100px
This is the standard range for the top-of-page header logo. Most real estate website themes, IDX platforms, and builder site templates reserve roughly this much space. Staying within this range means your logo won't crowd your navigation menu or look like a postage stamp in an ocean of white space.
Header logo (mobile):
Width: 120–200px
Height: 40–60px
Mobile headers are tighter. If you're using the same logo file at full desktop size, it either overflows the mobile header or gets scaled down so aggressively that fine details disappear. Your web developer or site builder will handle the responsive scaling — but start with a logo that's legible at 120px wide.
Retina / high-DPI displays:
Export at 2x your target display size.
If your header logo displays at 250px wide, export your PNG or WebP at 500px wide. Retina screens (every modern iPhone, Mac, and many Windows laptops) double the pixel density. A 250px file on a retina screen looks blurry. A 500px file at 2x resolution looks crisp. This is the single most common logo mistake on real estate agent websites.
Favicon (browser tab icon):
16x16px, 32x32px, 48x48px (provide all three)
The favicon is the tiny icon that appears in browser tabs and bookmarked lists. Use a simplified mark — your initials, a house icon, or a single letter. Your full horizontal logo crammed into a 16x16 square is unreadable.
Getting the Rest of Your Real Estate Website Right
Logo dimensions are one piece of a larger puzzle. A sharp, correctly sized logo on a slow, poorly structured website still doesn't convert. If you're rebuilding or optimizing your agent website or builder site, Velocity Builders handles the full stack — design, IDX integration, SEO structure, and conversion architecture.
